Join us for a culinary adventure through the American Southeast as we learn about this moment in civil rights history and honor the Freedom Riders’ legacy.
Dinner starts at 6pm on February 17th, and we follow the first Freedom Riders from Washington DC to New Orleans through food, music, and stories.
Pickled Washington DC Shrimp, Pimento Cheese, Country Ham and Pickles
Crowder Peacake with roasted tomato relish
Warm cabbage salad with spiced pecans, cornbread croutons, and bacon vinaigrette
Chicken and andouille etouffee with Carolina Gold rice
Banana Bread pudding with bourbon caramel sauce
We try to keep programming and events as low cost as possible so they are accessible to everyone. However, we have to pay our bills. We hope you will consider joining us for this fundraiser to help offset our costs so we can continue our work to Eliminate Racism and Empower Women in Wausau and Marathon County. And, it promises to be a great time 🙂
Tickets are on sale now by calling 715-842-3381.
